And they can-openered the passenger door on my wife’s then new Jetta and destroyed the entire plastic dashboard to get her Blaupunkt AM/FM/Cassette. $2,000 damage (probably $4,000 today or more) to get a stereo they would sell at the flea market for $25 for their next fix.

This was in the nice mid-town area of Palo Alto. We had a major a-hole neighbor we could not stand, so the car crap was the last straw. We left and moved five miles away to a much nicer, much safer, much less crowded place.
