Sickle cells would have gotten him much, much earlier.
At 66, it could have been anything. Thats when heart, kidney, diabetes, and a whole bunch of other stuff starts taking its toll.
66 is early, but the obituaries are always full of 66 year olds dying of something.
My dad died two days after his 64th birthday. Not sickle cell, which I think was an inappropriate comment, but just a plain ol’ heart attack.
1. clot shot, or
2. knew too much on the Clintons, or
3. accused Chuck Norris and Bruce Willis of being girly-men.
That right there tells me the man had something that took him down gradually, and for a good while he was able to work despite it.
It also tells me we've lost another good & positive soul, and the company of Heaven is better for it...
