Ed Koch and Rudy Giuliani referred to it as a pogrum, but they’re Republicans so what do they know. Don’t think the terms matter, riot is pretty bad too, but the facts do fit a pogrum, Commentary Magazine referred to it as an New York Kristallnacht.
