Two people were rescued early Monday morning from a plane that was left dangling 100 feet in the air from power lines after it crashed in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Sunday night.
Rescue workers pulled the pilot and passenger of the small plane out of the wreckage after they were trapped for several hours after the crash. Officials said both people were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Later reports stated the pilot and passenger needed fresh underwear
“power nearly restored”
Hmm. Nearly restored? Does that mean that they have now got the last two wires sorta, kinda near each other? Close enough to arc maybe?

There are 1,000,000 people in Montgomery County.
They canceled school today in Montgomery County.
Public school teachers will look for any excuse to not work.
Hey; hear this neat idea . Hitting the Maryland power lines sure beat hitting a building or the hard scape on the ground. Why not put tail hooks on all planes an use power lines as arresting cables.
As an aside it can be labeled as being green in that it will reduce power consumption in direct proportion with utilization die to power outages most likely to occur;
The kids are probably better off.
Know kiding!
Amazing the two people onboard the aircraft survived the impact with the transmission tower. More amazing the plane was entangled enough that it then didn’t drop to the ground, which would have likely killed them.
How there wasn’t a fuel leak ignited by the power lines arcing and sparking and creating a fireball is what’s amazing.
These two and the guy that fell off the cruise ship and was rescued need to count their blessings.
**The kids are probably better off.**
May I suggest removing ‘probably’.
Certainly.
Maybe they ran out of gas?
If that’s the case it was ANOTHER miricle
