It is a hilarious movie.
Depends on how insufferable the actor is, and how re ent it is. Christmas Vacation is jus simply a great movie all around.
It's been off the air for a while, but if you can catch some of the original episodes it's a kick.
Its on my list... It a Wonderful Life, Charlie Browns Christmas, Christmas Vacation... Rick Stevens A European Christmas, Polar Express... and The Nut Cracker.... :)
On our list along with Christmas with the Kranks and the Santa Clause movies..

In 2008, I was hired as a TV Tech Director to go behind enemy lines at the 2008 Denver DNC convention - and they assigned one of my camera guys to shadow Chevy Chase for 3 days so he could do random stand ups. It just happened that the cameraman was a young, scrawny reddish blonde kid and Chevy would frequently get into Griswold character and look at him sheepishly, asking “Hey Russ? How about we go over to concessions and share a beer?” or “Russ, here’s a twenty. How about a hotdog?!”
It was hilarious and surreal.

Hubby and I purchased an RV a few years ago in anticipation of my retirement. It was a great investment that has been a lot of fun with the grandchildren. Especially when the “pandemic” hit. With several grandchildren we could travel and not worry about the ridiculous rules as to “social distancing”, closed restaurants and public restrooms, etc. We had everything we needed right there with us.
When it is parked at home, we have it plugged in to “shore power” so that if we are in it we are not pulling from the RV batteries. One day we were headed somewhere, and totally forgot to unplug from the power source. So, once we headed up the driveway and reach the full length of the extension cord, of course it unplugged and the cord bounced along behind up all the way down the road to our destination. We only discovered it upon arriving at our first stop about 15 miles away from home. Thankfully, it separated at the plug and caused no harm to the cord or outlet.
My immediate thought was of the “Christmas Vacation” movie and started laughing so hard, I could barely speak.
