Whoops, thanks algore and Hootowl99 for the link, I've managed to find what I did with your nicks, that I'd planned to use for this message -- they were in the title box, hiding out, mystery solved. [blush]

You couldn’t possibly mean Al Gore, savior of the earth, ‘inventor’ of the net, Beau of Tipper.
When I return later, I’ll read more of the article and find out.
Other additions to the keyword since the Digest -- I was a little slipshod adding this one, not just because it's locked and can't be pinged, it's just some paranoid rant.

Why not? He and I have been buddies ever since I helped him invent the internet. We had lunch just last week, ate a feast from a half dozen endangered species. :^)

So, it was settled science that they were fake, and now it is settled science that they are not fake. Interesting.

Apparently no ancient literary source mentions him (at least by the name which appears on the coins, Sponsianus). There seems to be some doubt as to whether his bid for power was in the 240s (reign of Philip the Arab) or the 260s (reign of Gallienus).
Communist Romania used to produce a car called the Dacia (a knock-off of a Fiat). I saw one on display at the 1986 World's Fair in Vancouver, BC.

Dacias are still built in Romania. Owned by Renault last I knew.
Little Euro cars. Blah.

Tipper dumped his sorry ass in 2010. I guess it was the shakra thing.

That grew into the biggest chain in all of Dacia.
His brother was emperor over the border, in Nightcia.
