I retired after a tourist from Alabama made an illegal left turn on red in Wash DC, and I ate his front driver side panel.

He had a cell phone glued to his face.

About 14 years ago a fellow retiree from my plant was riding his Honda Gold Wing to California with another son to meet up with another son in Cali. While on the freeway in Arizona, his front tire blew out and he was killed.

5 years ago another retiree friend and his wife were on his Harley when an oncoming truck made a left turn at the intersection in front of him and my friend smashed into the truck, sending his wife flying over the truck into oncoming traffic where she was killed..

He's had multiple surgeries and lost his sight in one eye but he's still alive.
