Congratulations on your new car. I suspect it's your first one since prior to 2013 when a lot of car companies made deals to have satellite radio installed.

Binge listen now because you're going to let the free trial lapse without signing up. You're going to hear some songs you haven't heard in a while but the charm will fade fast. There's a reason you don't listen to those songs more frequently.

The problem is that although there are specific channels, they still "rent" content in the same industry and it's broadcast in real time. You have to listen to what they broadcast. You flip through different channels but it's the same songs on each and they're played over and over. Since it was mostly listening while in the car, it got stale very quickly.

I think Sirius gave me two free extensions before giving up. They sent me junk mail once a month for about two years and now I get it twice a year.

The satellite radio industry is so non-viable that XM and Sirius merged fifteen years ago (only six years after satellite radio started) because neither could make a go of it independently. Cellular platforms such as Pandora and Spotify, with a wider selection and personalized playlists, overshadow satellite radio.

If you want it dirt cheap, do nothing for now...as your free trial ends, they will start sending you prices for subscription...
If you wait long enough you will get it for 6.99 a month... It’s worth that price
