In the Developed World, obesity is the major problem, not food security.

Big AG, like Gates wants to practice/implement to the exclusion of all else, raises monocrops (soybeans, wheat, etc.) cheaply, then makes “processed” food out of it ... profits are large. They also generate lots of “vegetable seed oil” cheaply & do their best to convince everyone that it is ‘heart healthy’ as opposed to natural fats like tallow, butter, fruit oils (olive, avocado), lard. There are issues with olive/avocado oils being cut with soybean oil so you have to be careful there.
Smaller farms that are ‘regenerative’, don’t kill everything in the soil to raise one crop like soybeans/wheat, are not GMO, raise healthy/nutritious meat (pastured chicken, beef, pork) and provide “real” food as opposed to something with a label that has more than one ingredient & most of them you cannot pronounce .... those are the answer to “obesity”.
Three things to eliminate & the obesity epidemic would be much reduced:
Sugar
Processed Food
Vegetable Seed Oils
Good place to start for anyone not aware of how UNHEALTHY vegetable seed oils are (canola, corn, soybean, etc.):

Then we need to get rid of the TV, computers, phones--so people will move. We need to get rid of supersized, large portions. Doesn't all this sound like gun control?
No, people need to take personal responsibility for eating to dam* much (I know, I love to) and sitting around too much.
You are right--processed food is bad. I think all children, as a requirement, should be taught to cook, fish, hunt and garden as part of their education.
