Maybe elected representatives should be on commission - they more successful they are in keeping spending and regulation under control, the more money they make. The rep who successfully stops a trillion dollar Build Back Boondoggle in its tracks deserves a ten million dollar commission - no problem.
We need to throw more cash at elected officials to compete with the looters and their lobbyists. And the prospect of compensation equivalent to free market levels might even attract better quality people into government service:)
