Once in a while there was something she recorded that I liked. But then I would recognize it was the music, not her vocal performance that made it interesting. Listening to this, and having respect for the original, I recognize her voice was not so special. Better than whatever is appearing nightly at the Ramada Inn Lounge, but not artistry. Strip away the dance show, the lasers, the smoke effects, and what arguably may be excellent musicians backing her, and what have you got? Eh.
