Indeed, I have done that. I should power up the other unit and at least make sure it works (lol). I’ve had them both for about 3 months now.

There was an instruction to format the card. Perhaps I should do that on the PC first. I think it has a slot for that.

I installed it in a rental vehicle but have not wired it in one of my cars yet. Each of them (different manufacturers) also has the rear-view cam as well.

In all seriousness, a dash-cam can save your bacon. The fuse blocks in some cars have spare slots for after-market devices. Routing the wire can be a real challenge. I suspect they don’t include instructions because every car will have its own routing needs. My son got a shop manual for his card; and, that provided clues to where wiring channels were located.
