Elon may have kept the child around during testy meetings as a subtle prompt for his employees to approach him in a civil manner. A little behavior modification without posting up a sign. I’ll bet it cut back on a lot of yelling and interrupting that would normally have happened during a closed door- change of ownership meeting.
