During a Twitter DM interview by Kelsey Piper of Vox with FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried last week, something remarkable happened.
Bankman-Fried ditched his annoyingly sanctimonious "monk-like" mask and revealed his true self: a greedy cynic who is laughing at the world, including the gullible media, for believing his phony "effective altruism" shtick as you can see in the section of the interview below.

Suckers........
I despised you all the same, a-hole, and the fact that you got caught doesn't make me like you any better.
A review of the fawning media stories on this guy are hilarious. Right now there are tons of memes making fun of the Wall Street Journal stories about the guy.

Virtue signalers are crooks....
Every time.

Warren Buffett is like this. He says everyone should pay more taxes. He has his money in a tax exempt foundation that employs his family. He also bribed the democrats so he can haul oil on his trains vs a competitor who can transport oil in the Keystone pipeline much cheaper.
They give him credit for giving money to charity, but in reality he was giving other people’s money.
Yep
Athiests are confounded by altruism, alternating between genetic and evolutionary explanations, as they want to both deny man as God’s creation while at the same time embracing mankind’s fall (but not in those words). That is, they want it both ways: people are selfish but they have utilitarian gene/impulse for the common good.
Whatever is “effective altruism,” sounds to me like a lame excuse for being selectively altruistic, which would be inherently immoral.
I can’t believe this clown duped anyone.
Yeah
