No. My ancestors died in the massacre in August of 1764. But wow, what a story you shared, absolutely riveting. Thanks!
During what was incorrectly called ‘Pontiac;s rebellion’ a general attack by woodland Indians from Wisconsin to Pennsylvania spread south in its final manifestations and produced scattered but really violent attacks down the Appalachians into North Carolina. Indians were unpredictable neighbors.
Chief Pontiac was eaten
Really? Parkman just presents him being killed by an Illinous in what is now East St Louis over some him being an Ottawa.
He was also a cannibal
That’s how I learned it anyway

The Ottowa’s were cannibals. The Illini weren’t as far as I know. Some tribes practiced the long pig thing some didn’t. Mostly the further north woodland tribes did. It nay have been a custom left over from when they were hunter gatherers and cannibalism was a significant way to avoid starvation.
Leftist ass-hat belief structure: create a disturbing paradigm that, if true, has to apply equally to all citizens, but imply that for an unstated reason known only to the teller of the story, it does not actually apply to them.
So while your presence is due to this violence, her presence is not. As a leftist, she is incapable of error or wrong-doing. It is just a form of magic thinking that leftists substitute for reason. And they even have a reason for not being reasonable — logic is a form of toxic masculinity.
Give thanks that you are not a leftist.
