Plenty like her in Guangzhou, I can attest from personal experience. The "girl shortage" in China is a rural thing, and doesn't apply to the big cities at all.

The CCP is the role model for the WEF, so expect such tactics to slowly expand westward - in perhaps slightly different forms like social media shaming or notifications of non-compliance sent to employers.
