I never ordered Papa Johns, just had it at a couple of meetings at other places I worked.

Completely agree about delivering to colleges. My record for one night was 54 deliveries, mostly triples and quads to the dorms.

My observations, in about 17 1/2 years with Domino's, on and off, 5 stores in 2 states. Friday night is the worst for tips, like you said the bigger the house the smaller the tip, and the worse the weather the lower the tip.

Yea its a funny dichotomy.. I don’t begrudge anyone their wealth.. but there was a very real dichotomy between those who come upon wealth easily, and those that work.

Not all big houses stiffed, or small tipped, but it was disproportionate to be sure.

Human nature is an odd beast, the more you have the less you appreciate what you have. Its easy not to realize this either... When you are struggling, you appreciate even the smallest things.. once you get comfortable, you tend to be far less appreciative of even the big things.

This is universal human nature, there are exceptions, but it takes a lot of conscious constant effort to not get caught up in comfort, and realize and appreciate what you have.

Religion used to be the big driver to remind folks of their place... sadly that’s been undercut consciously in society...so there is less and less focusing folks on the universal failings of human nature and countering them, and just a perpetual stream of things reinforcing or capitalizing on the weaknesses of human nature for their own benefits.
