In Vermont’s Randolph Elementary School last year, a third-grade boy was disciplined and made to apologize to a girl classmate who instructed those around her that she desired to be addressed by the pronouns “they” and “them.” The boy was compelled to use the speech elected by the girl; not the other way around. The boy is deprived of the choice of what pronouns of the English language he must employ -- these are determined in “gender theory” not by rules of grammar but of self-identity. This is profoundly foolish, but is increasingly the fad at ideologically-polluted public schools.
The boy in question had remarked to another boy simply “That girl ran 15 laps.” This was a verboten use of trans-English, and the girl promptly reported the boy to the language police. Both boys missed recess awaiting the official verdict -- they were compelled to apologize to the biological girl, who self-identifies (for the moment) as “they.”
The problem for the eight-year-old boy is that his brain does not warp like the warped dimensions of gender pronouns: he is rooted in the functional linguistics imprinted by his parents, and normative thinking. Vermont third-graders are governed by “teachers” who do not understand what they are teaching -- have the adults imposing these rules memorized the dozens of gender identities and gender pronouns that have rapidly proliferated? This foolish thinking proposes an infinite number of gender pronouns, and even neopronouns.
The defining characteristic of these shifting linguistic sands is that they are based on subjective feelings. Grammarly instructs:
Pronouns are an important part of English. Understanding how to use personal pronouns is essential for being able to talk about people accurately and respectfully. ….Pronouns have evolved to represent people’s identities beyond the gender binary of masculine (he/him) and feminine (she/her).

Liberals have become the opposite of the meaning of that word as the Democratic Party has of the definition of “Democracy”.
Kid should insist his pronoun is Throat Warbler Mangrove.
If anyone tells me to use certain pronouns when addressing them I would say: The only pronoun I use is you as in “What make you think I want to talk to you”.
I’ve never been asked for my pronouns and I’m afraid my response would be an exaggerated eyeroll if someone were to ask such a stupid question.
I do, however, have a handful of co-workers who put their pronouns on their work e-mail signatures.
This doesn’t even make sense.
How do you include the information contained in “That girl” while using “they”.
Because they is historically been a plural and refers to 2 or more people. Using it is confusing.
“They” ran 15 laps.
is not as specific or clear as
“That girl” ran 15 laps.
“That girl” isn’t even a pronoun. He didn’t substitute a pronoun for the girl’s preferred pronoun. He used an adjective and noun combo.
I prefer ‘Master’. The worst that comes of it is a dirty look. :-)
Let’s kick them out. We can’t leave on our own accord but maybe voting out others will work.
We are completing an application for our daughter to do to an art camp for intellectually and artistically gifted children in SC. One of the questions asked “which pronouns does she/he prefer” to which I replied “The grammatically correct ones- we use adjectives to describe our daughter. You will use the adjectives intelligent, gifted, stubborn, and conscientious.”
No, he’s on second base ...
If any lefties start asking what my new pronouns are, they are divinely appointed emperor.
Vermont school has no dictionaries but make one up as they go.

Yep.
I learned pronoun supremacy in 7th grade, over 60 years ago.
We wrangled every part of speech, diagramed sentences, and punctuated and capitalized collections of words into submission.
It stuck. Today I come to a screeching halt when reading the newspaper and its and it’s are improperly used.
‘They’ used as a singular pronoun just muddles ‘their’ communication; I have to stop and unravel before proceeding.

Well, I must have offended the W W Web.
It hung up, and I posted twice.
Well in fairness, homophones are of the devil.
Be careful. Many gifted people, girls especially, are particularly drawn in by the Trans Cult. I think part of it is due to they have special abilities, but they all can’t be number one and gain the recognition that they think they deserve. They also often don’t “fit in” with the other girls and thus don’t have a peer group that recognizes how special they are.
The Trans Cult offers them a way to work their way into the group and offers “special” status to them at each step of the way.
