One of my favorite recordings. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but for those who like it...here it is.

Dwight Yoakum played an evil corporate president in first season of "Goliath" starring Billy Bob Thorton.

GREAT 4-season SERIES on Prime!

Yoakam does an excellent job playing evil characters.

I remember his role in Sling Blade. Great job.

Listening to it!

Boy, this is a good song.

Personally, I always loved ‘Dixie’.

Yoakam has always been a favorite of mine. Favorite song is “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere”. Nice video of that one. He and Buck doing “Streets of Bakersfield” is another great song and video.

And then there’s this which some people might consider an abomination. I don’t, and that’s my favorite Cheap Trick song.

Yup, totally there with you. I love his Blame the Vane album. If it was on vinyl, I would have worn out 3 records.

3 pears not so much but Pretty Horses is great.

He has a whole album of Buck’s songs, “Dwight Sings Buck”.

He was so good, i.e., EVIL, in “Goliath”. Good acting in Season 1. (We hated Seasons 2-4.)

Yep...season 1 was the best.

“Patty” character was quite the pistol and fun to watch.

She was great. (She played Vivian Vance in a TV movie about Lucy & Desi.) All the female characters in “Goliath” were interesting and well played.

I love Elvis’ American Trilogy. I have the backing track in my home studio. Every once a n a while I cue that sucker up and belt it!

Dwight Yokum is the epitome of classic and Honky Tonk country. Classic Bakersfield country. The elitists on this site are no different than the Left when it comes to their distaste for country music and the South.

Daniel Decatur Emmett wrote “Dixie” for Bryant’s Minstrels, who first performed it in New York, probably in the late fall of 1859.
