You might easily be right, but I'm not convinced. Pelosi's underpants are, I think, plausibly explained by his contention that he was in bed for the night when DePape entered the house. I have not read any confirmation that DePape is a homosexual prostitute or even a homosexual, and we should have heard that by now. What we now know about DePape is that he is mentally ill. I think that DePape's actions are mostly likely the result of that mental illness. What sane person attacks someone with a hammer while in front of two policemen?

The problem with the “mentally ill” explanation is that it does not explain how DePape got into the residence.

There were security cameras, security guards, alarm systems.

There is just zero chance he broke in to the residence.
