Source of power? McConnell is a high-ranking minion of the Uniparty.

This RINO won, and won big, despite sabotaging Republican chances in AZ and AK, NH, and probably somewhere else that I am missing.

PA, GA (pending.)

Did Trump actually spend money on behalf of candidates?

In any case, it is shocking but sadly not surprising that McConnell got re-elected. Other senators are evidently afraid of him.

His power is cronyism. He retains his stature while ensuring all of his pals stick around by any means necesary, including looking the other way if folks in his own party get shafted or in certain cases turtle giving them the shaft himself.

“How did he do that?”

By withholding money. Bolduc in NH was outspent in the Republican primary 20/1. McConnell funded the other guy. Just like two years ago they did the same thing. They funded Corky Messner instead of Bolduc. Messner lost to Shaheen in the general election.

In the general election the Dems outspent Bolduc 40/1. It is hard to get your message out when you are constantly having to defend yourself against the lies being promoted by your opponent.

He is an interim House Speaker until the new Congress elects its new Speaker. When you leave out the word ‘interim’ you join the propagandists touting the ‘win’.

It’s nowhere near that sinister.

McConnell has been at this game a long time, he has greased palms with favors, committee assignments, and earmarks for well over a generation. He also holds a lot of influence in the donor circles, and can steer campaign donations toward or away from anyone he so chooses. His staffers also wield similar influence and as legislative language gets drafted, those staffers decide who gets to influennce what in thaf language.

If you are a senator, you know all of that. You also probably have a few numbers in your head, votes needed in the next election, money needed to be raised for thst next election, money needed to be steered to my state and donors who can make all that easy or hard.

Also as a US senator, you are practically above the law (in that you can write parts of the criminal code to exclude you from punishment when others would be arrested). They see themselves as “above” a lot of the conflicts and partisan whims of the riff raff who elected them. You are one of 100 in a rather exclusive country club. The partiaan divisions are nowhere near as sharp as you believe them to be. McConnell only leaves his role if he croaks, if the other senators see him as a liability to their own futures, or if McConnell chooses to leave.

Yes, and also state governors.

The fraud rigging apparatus is larger than we can imagine.

There is power to take down candidates or let them through untouched.

The difference is Trump doesn’t spend ANY of his own money. He relies on campaign contributions, just like any other politician.

Who would be in a better position to know “things” than the leader of the R branch of the Uniparty? Who would be in a better position to know the wishes of the Chinese?

When I hear hoofbeats I think horses, not zebras. Whoever the GOP sent are leader is would control the bucks. I think the answer supported by the evidence is the the GOP as a group are not aggressive, and not imaginative. They’re also deaf as the the PR effect of their whisking cowardice. With the three “Mc’s”, McConnell and McCarthy have already been rewarded for their failure. Will Ronna McDaniel be likewise? Probably.

While I think Mitch should go for a lot of reasons, one thing everyone here needs to remember is that Mitch has been the person responsible for getting hundreds of Federal judges confirmed. That legacy has already changed the political landscape of the nation.

While some Pols have been tied to China, Mitch married into the “family”. His wife has considerable power also. I still don’t understand how a foreign born can rise to political power of ANY KIND in this country. They shouldn’t even be able to work in a government office as a volunteer. Some things are better done by those who love this country AS FOUNDED. Do they not conduct background investigations anymore, and look for communists or foreign spies, along with people with another being growing on their necks?

Trump called her Coco Chow, and this is what USA today said about that speech.

‘DEATH WISH’? What Trump and his wannabes did in one weekend should scare us all.

Trump says Mitch McConnell has a ‘DEATH WISH.’ Greene says Democrats ‘want Republicans dead.’ This is no longer a political party. It’s a sickening dangerous cult.

So I guess Chinks are now above criticism, maybe above homosexual and lesbian trannies with one eye, who have the blessing of being half black.half Chai nah thing.

McTurtle is an international cash machine.

You know all that fundraising politicians have to do, but many of them bitch about.

“McConnell loves that crap & is good at it.”

I don’t like him, but he’s not “changing his colors” at this point in his life.

No, the source of his power is campaign cash and leadership positions. Rick Scott is learning this lesson now.
