When you use social media you don’t own any of the content that you publish. If the private company wishes to give all of that material to the government, at their request, they are perfectly within their rights to do so.I'm not in agreement with that. I'd like to see it adjudicated.

If a cop comes into a store and asks the owner about one of their customers, the owner can decide to disclose information or not. I don’t see this as any different. They’re choosing to provide the information that they own per their terms of service. Requiring it without a warrant would be illegal but I see nothing making the claim this is what is happening.
