Charging to 80% vs 100% is not shorter nor more affordable, unless one bases all of their financial decisions on the minimum payment cost on their credit card?

Yeah. When I was a teenager in the very early ‘70s, I would never fill up my tank because I couldn’t afford it. I typically get a bucks worth and then I’d have to get a bucks worth later on. Now I just get it down to a quarter tank or less and fill it up. The idea of not filling up your tank because it’s too expensive is third world crap.

If the charging station is based on time, not amount actually transmitted, the last 20% may take as much time as the first 80% It also isn't great for the battery to fast charge and full-charge all the time.
