Word on Twitter tonight is that Twitter is dead and is going to shut down anytime now. Pundits are posting links to where you can find them once Twitter’s gone. They’re lamenting what a great conversational space Twitter used to be. But Elon Musk, in his search for workers who were willing to actually come into the office and work a full day, has alienated his employees and they’re all leaving. Check out Twitter’s trending topics:

RIP Twitter

As CNBC reported, among the first two fired were Rahul Ligma and Daniel Johnson, whom the reporter caught outside as they were holding cardboard boxes with their belongings. Musk, however, realized the magnitude of the mistake he had made and welcomed Ligma and Johnson back into the fold.

Important to admit when I’m wrong & firing them was truly one of my biggest mistakes

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 15, 2022

Hill TV host Brianna Joy Gray still doesn’t get the joke and noted that Ligma and Johnson didn’t look too happy in that photo.

However, Johnson sounds perfectly content to be back.https://t.co/CKvNH3g8C1

How are we still tricking journalists. How is this still happening https://t.co/WcRejAq3KT

"Prematurely firing Ligma Johnson"

I've seen enough, the Ligma-Johnson firing deserves its own wikipedia page

Journalism majors are not exactly setting the high bar. They likely started off in something else and failed. Either way, at least they provide comic relief.

— ERock84 (@kalypso1066) November 17, 2022

I’m laughing because I just don’t know where the bottom is with the media 😂

— Holland Cedar Capital Management (@hollandcedarcap) November 17, 2022

Because the story is one that journalists WANT to believe, and so they don't question it.

— Charles Rense (@CharlesRense) November 18, 2022

I wonder if they know yet that we are all laughing at them on Twitter. 😂

Ligma & Johnson for VPs of Corporate Communications. .@elonmusk

— TheOtherRene2 (@TheOtherRene2) November 18, 2022

Layers and layers of fact-checkers.

— Memo_B_Random (@Memo_B_Random) November 17, 2022

This is why citizen journalism is bad: These journalists went to school for years and years and have editors and fact-checkers.

Bro you forgot to say “journalists”.. never forgot those quotation marks.

Johnson’s tweet didn’t copy, so you’ll have to read Twitchy link to read it.

I think that this will convince Elon to move Twitter out of California to Texas or Florida.

This is just hilarious. Each time I think “Could someone in the media really be this stupid?”, they double down and do something that is even more amazingly stupid.

What the team at twitter doesn’t get yet is that he has a whole company of actual rocket scientists that write code that can autonomously land spacecraft. His other company has developed self driving software that has a few camera bugs still, but mostly works. Conversational messaging code, or “post office” has been around a long time. I’m sure Elon knows techno bull shit when he hears it as a developer of text copying code tells him, “ I’m the Indispensable Expert you must let work from home”. My grandfather ran a shipyard in WW2. His advice to me on managing any enterprise was, If some one thinks they are indispensable, fire them, Three people who can do the job better will answer your add for the position.

“If some one thinks they are indispensable, fire them,…”

I have never regretted firing an employee with a negative attitude. Such hubris they have.
