Many people do not realize there are two ways of smoking.
The current way is to inhale the smoke into the lungs and then blow it out.
The OLD Indian way, called “Smoke drink”, is to suck the smoke into the mouth, then swallow it to the stomach, then burp it back out quietly. It totally bypasses the lungs.
My family used the old method and lived into their late 80s with no lung problems.
Maybe the runner uses the old method.
I do not smoke at all!
