Can a company close a branch or location just for unionizing?

No. Closing a location and firing its employees just for unionizing would be a violation of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935.

What Woke Company would do that?

Gee, wouldn't such a move effect their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) score? Would banks stop lending, would investors sell their stock?.

“Closing a location and firing its employees just for unionizing would be a violation of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935.”

What a joke that is.

Any company can wait a few months and crank out some “analysis” to justify closing any location.

If it is an amazing performer they might have to suddenly have a massive increase in “employee theft” out the back door...

;-)
