Kari Lake Wikipedia

Lake was a member of the Republican Party until November 3, 2006, when she changed her registration to become an independent. She registered as a Democrat on January 4, 2008, the day after the Iowa Democratic presidential caucuses were won by Obama. Lake returned to being a Republican on January 31, 2012. She explained leaving the Republican Party in 2006 as a reaction to the then-ongoing Iraq and Afghanistan wars. She had supported John Kerry in 2004 and Barack Obama in 2008. She also made several donations to Democratic presidential candidates. After launching her campaign for governor in 2021, Lake cited Trump, Ronald Reagan, and Arizona Republican Party chair Kelli Ward, all former Democrats, as precedent for her party-switching.

Republican > Independent > Democrat > Conservative Republican

Is she Tulsi Gabbard’s cousin? What’s with these pols that switch parties?

“she trails by as many votes as it will take.”

Kind of like Laxalt’s loss.

It depends on other races as well. You’d still count the votes if the local sheriff race was so close that the remaining uncounted ballots could decide the outcome. All candidates for all offices on those ballots would be counted too even if some of them were already decided.

Thanks for the advice, but I don’t take the advice of the opposition.

. . . or at least to get her to a 0.5% deficit, triggering an automatic recount.

50,000, with many thousands more that still need to be “cured”?

Nor my last. I thought about it. The problem is that, like it or not, the AZ SOS is the source of the data that all the websites use. AFAIK all the voting data flows out of the SOS.

If that’s not the case point me to to a totally independent AZ vote counter whose data source is not the SOS.

Sounds to me like they’re having trouble overcoming the legitimate Lake vote.

She would need 71.9% of the remaining votes to pull it out. She has yet to get anywhere close to that.

I guess.

also from Wikipedia:

Prior to 2015 she identified as a Buddhist, but converted to Christianity in 2019.

So she “converted to Christianity” two years before declaring a run for governor? Tulsi Gabbard is a Krishna. Wtf.

The play is likely to get a recount which is at a 0.5% win margin.

https://ballotpedia.org/Recount_laws_in_Arizona

As you know the recount will just be a rehash of the bad ballots, but it’s at least a second chance to unearth those.

So, it went from 48,000 ballots left and kari was down by 18k votes

Now it's 43,000 ballots left and kari's down by 15k votes.

She just now gained 3,000 votes with just 5,000 ballots?

Hobbs’ lead is still listed at 18,551 votes. Where does your 15K figure come from?
