Yes, Yes and Yes. For a year and a half it has bewildered me that those who took the inoculations (which were messaged as being safe and effective) were so afraid of those who chose not to.
As I had one vaxxer explain it to me, no vaccine is ever 100% effective, so even if it’s 90% effective for each person, that lowers the risk of catching something from someone who is vaxed because it’s unlikely that it would not be ineffective for both parties.
Therefore if they are one of the ones for whom the vax didn’t work, then by having everyone else around them at 90% vaxxed, they are still safer.
