In my rural city of 25K there are three UMC churches and one has had a fag flag and rainbow sign up for years. They seem a lot more interested in attracting the small number of queers than young families or other groups.

Not surprising

On a positive note out church is full of middle to upper middle class families with a LOT of children, most homeschooled (we are in homeschool group) and extraordinarily conservative

Even the teenagers seem like a throwback to a different age and time and they aren’t nerds either-smart strong capable young people who could be absolutely dominant should they want

In my rural city of 7,500 there is one Methodist Church. We are either going to soon split from the United Methodist denomination, or I am.

Too bad, too, because the local church is pretty good, even though the congregants have their collective head in the sand as to the “alphabet-groups” problem.
