Sometimes it seems having all that hierarchy helps ameliorate trendy and faddish ideas. It would have to pass a whole lot of levels all over the world before being approved.

Yes there are good clerics/nuns still in the church. Unfortunately this horrible pope is on the side of the not so good clerics. I go to what is called a Traditine mass parish. Masa is said in latin like it was before the 60s. Very conservative, very loyal to the official church teaching. These parishes are thrivibg, the one seminary that produces the priests that can do these masses is full. Lots of young couples with a lot of children at my location. Of course the pope thinks this is a threat and has been clamping down on it. Disgusting.
