I wonder what they would be like if you cleaned them out completely, no seeds or membranes. I have to do that to my giant jalapenos which I mostly eat stuffed. If you cleaned habaneros they might make a good pepper jelly.
I can try that. I remember putting the tip of my tongue on one and got a quick blast of real heat. That was enough to scare me off.
I gave some to the clerk at school - husband from Mexico - and he said mine weren’t all that hot.
