People are baffled why world's longest flight doesn't travel in a straight line

How's this for a detour? Over on TikTok people are losing their minds as to why the world's longest flight travels in an over-exaggerated curve and not in a straight line from New York City to Singapore.
Travelling at a whopping distance of 9,537 miles, people have had their brains twisted over its questionable logic.
TikTok user Travel With DJ documented the curved details of the world's longest non-stop commercial flight. The Singapore Airlines flight takes off from John F. Kennedy (JFK) airport and lands in Singapore Chani Airport.
Travelling from Singapore back to New York is thought to take 18 hours and 50 minutes, according to Upgraded Points.

You’re an embarrassment to FR.The same can be said of you.
Have you looked through a pair of binoculars?
Do they increase your range of view?
Can you see the boat "over the horizon" come back into view?
Don't talk smack, you loose as soon as somebody does that test!

A 'just so you know' reply...
How Far You Can See With 10×50 Binoculars? An average human eye with 20×20 vision can see for about 30 miles if there’s nothing in the way. 10×50 binoculars magnify your normal vision 10 times, so
theoretically, you can see for
300 miles. Unfortunately, there’s no easy answer to the question: How far can you see with 10×50 binoculars? Let’s go with “pretty far” for right now.
Atmospheric conditions affect the visibility.

That's not an argument. None of your comments to me have been.
Your comments are nothing but ridicule and contempt...if you haven't realized that yet.

The curvature of the Earth limits how far binoculars can extend observation of the surface, and transient atmospheric conditions can reduce it.

They have eyes and refuse to see.
Turn this image 90 degrees counter clockwise.
Would you look at that. It's like there's a circular flat plane there...and the only 'direction' is just...straight up.
No 360 stars, etc., just straight up.

Anyone gaslighting in favor of the flat Earth fiction gets and deserves ridicule and contempt.Keep up, man, your using all the right buzz words.
I'm not telling you what to believe, I'm simply stating - Go out and TEST WHAT YOU BELIEVE, or rather, what you've been told to believe.
I've simply given the information necessary for someone to come to their own conclusion.
A 3 mile stretch of flat, straight road. Two 6' tall people 3 miles part. Binoculars. Will you see the whole person? Try it and see what you see.
HOW IS THAT GASLIGHTING?
Let me ask you this...If the apple had fallen into a bucket of water instead of on Newton's head would the Theory of Gravity be A THING or would buoyancy and density explain what happened?

Boats literally vanish as they "sink" below the horizon on Lake Michigan, which is tiny compared with the oceans. Most people have looked through binoculars. That's why you and your gaslighting look ridiculous. Buoyancy and density are a couple of the right buzz words used by you flat Earth nutjobs.

The curvature of the Earth limits how far binoculars can extend observation of the surface...You obviously don't grasp that the vanishing point applies to binoculars as well as to our eyes. THAT, not the curvature, is what limits the binoculars.

The example was 3 miles. 8” * 3 miles * 3 miles = 72”. Or 6 feet.
= = =
OK, I’m just starting this, but look at the units.
inches x miles x miles ==> length cubed, not just length.
Your 72” is 72 inches-miles-miles.
Have to divide by miles a couple of times to get 72”.
So something is being left out.
I’m pondering. Will be back.

Boats literally vanish as they "sink" below the horizon on Lake Michigan, which is tiny compared with the oceans.Once again you prove your ignorance. They don't "sink" below the horizon, they're moving AWAY from you on flat surface, thus shrinking in size FROM THE VIEWER'S PERSPECTIVE the further away they are.
Wouldn't a car on that road driving away from you get smaller and smaller as the distance grew? And you think that's curvature. Laughable.
That's why you and your gaslighting look ridiculous.
Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which the abuser attempts to sow self-doubt and confusion in their victim's mind. Typically, gaslighters are seeking to gain power and control over the other person, by distorting reality and forcing them to question their own judgment and intuition. Show me the gaslighting. I'm asking people to make their OWN
judgement using their OWN God given
senses, not
intuition,
after they've looked at a matter on their own with new information. I'm not forcing them to do it. I am warning them that what they will see may not conform to what they've been taught. It reduces the shock knowing ahead of time.
It's pretty devastating when you realize you've been lied to your whole life.
Buoyancy and density are a couple of the right buzz words used by you flat Earth nutjobs.
Nope, no answer to the question but...a self admitted subject matter troll? Sounds like it to me.
It also explains the 'Tude'.

drop = 8 inches per mile squared
Don't get confused. KISS
First, what is 5 squared? 25. Miles squared solved.
8 inches x 25 = 200 inches
Convert to feet...200 ÷ 12 = 16.67
See 66 for check.

Thus, an object a mere 5 miles away should be a whopping 16.67 feet BELOW the horizon.
