Did you have such high quality, as Publix, in NH, at lower pricing??
>>I find their pricing to be quite high<<
I winter in Florida and summer in NH.
Publix is employee-owned, spotless, and very pricey.
NH has many convenient, local, small, but expensive, grocery stores. You really have to shop the many flyers.
I’d say Publix is more expensive than the Hannafords chain.
We shopped at a regional chain named Market Basket. Probably 100 or so stores in New England. Outstanding quality.
Interesting story about the chain. They were owned by two brothers. One of the brothers, Arthur, is truly loved by the employees, but the other is despised.
Well, one day, Arthur was fired by his brother & the board. Employees, who are non-union, went on strike & publicly protested. The interesting part of the story was that nearly 100% of the customers stopped shopping there. The stores were completely empty.
This lasted for a few months until the shitty brother and the board sold their shares to Arthur.
