I've worked in a number of nursing homes over the years here in NJ.
The law here says that what ever your job is in a ‘’long term care facility( the ''industry'' doesn't like to use the term '''nursing home'' anymore) you have to attend ''in house training sessions'' where they fill you in on all manner of dementia issues and other things relating to the elderly.
It’s hard, isn’t it? Bless you for doing that work. Taking care of Mama was difficult sometimes, but she was worth every minute. I’m sure you feel the same way.
