All good and all loving God, we come to you today in the face of tragedy. We know that no evil comes from you, and so we call out to you as we pray for those affected by this recent earthquake in Nepal.

We ask that you draw close to those who are injured and grant them healing. Comfort those families who have lost loved ones and bring them consolation.

Bless and protect those responding to this tragedy and guide their efforts. Inspire local and national leaders, that they may offer support in the recovery ahead. And in each of us, Lord, inspire compassionate and loving action for our human family.

Above all, as your people, continue to guide us to that world without suffering, pain or despair; a world of full and everlasting life. We ask this in Jesus' most Holy Name.
