They aren't able to stop the shelling of the power plants that has already eliminated 40% of electricty resulting in blackouts, and the cold weather hasn't set in yet. For this reason a NYT article says that Kyiv's 3 million residents will likely have to be evacuated. So Zelensky can keep punching above his weight until millions of residents have to be evacuated, but he won't do anything that can help him stop Putin or help him win the war or even save his sorry, puppet hide.
At this point, Zelensky has gone back to dancing-for-dollars. He has to deceive people into thinking he's winning and so they should send him money.
