Years ago I slept at the home of some friends, it started out New Year's Eve, and, I didn't want to get on the road to go home. Saw a "Behind the Music" for, hmm, REO Speedwagon. It described how when BOC was huge, RS got the opening act gig with them. About a year later, RS went on their first headlining tour, and BOC was the opening act. :^) BOC could have cleaned with a "Cities Aflame" tour during the nationwide Obama riots.

When I was in the Marines, in about 76 or so, my buddies and I went to see Lynyrd Skynyrd in NC, about a hundred miles from our Camp LeJeune base.

When we got to the venue, the sign said that the Lynyrd Skynyrd band had to cancel because Ronnie Van Zant (lead vocalist) had gotten ill.

But the had substituted another band and we could see them instead.

We went in and REO SPEEDWAGON took the stage!...............
