The documentary “1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture” claims that one human error 75 years ago stoked decades of homophobia and hate. Extremists don’t want you to see it.
The first time the word “homosexual” appeared in the Bible was in 1946. That year, a committee gathered to translate an updated English version of the book from the Greek. Religious scholars, priests, theologists, linguists, anthropologists, and activists have done decades of research and investigation into the instances where the word appears in the book. Their conclusion is that it was a mistranslation.
In other words, the Biblical assertion that homosexuality is a sin—the catalyst for an entire shift in culture, with political repercussions, religious implications, consequences for LGBT rights and acceptance, and, frankly, deadly results—was, they allege, a mistake.
As a new film asserts, it was “the misuse of a single word that changed the course of history.”

To those who have no intention of submitting to God and his Word, why all the fuss?
They should just relax and go to hell.
All of orthodox Christian history has unambiguously condemned homosexual conduct as one of the worst sins. Do these new “translators” have privileged knowledge not available to the apostles, church Fathers, and God?
The Bible did not need the word “homosexuality” to desribe the homosexual acts the Bible condemned, as moral sins. The idea that minus the word “h o m o s e x u a l i t y” the Bible says nothing about homosexual acts is totally false.
So specious!
Never, but NEVER, allow a non-Christian do your translations.

By what authority?
How are they to know what the intent was of the translation from 75 years ago?

Nothing comes from nothing. That said, evolution is God’s method of creation, because the evidence says it has to be.
Starting about 35 ice cycles ago some primates randomly started releasing DPPIV into their small intestines. The DPPIV allowed those primates to digest carbohydrates more safely. From that point forward descendants of those primates formed farming communities and multiplied. Periodically these hominids became so successful that they overpopulated too readily.
Randomly again, some of the hominids started releasing zonulin into the small intestine upon ingesting some of the more harmful carbohydrates, like fructose. Zonulin makes the intestinal wall porous, and empties undigested lumen into the bloodstream. With the lumen zonulin releases raw viruses into the bloodstream. With zonulin, overcrowding accelerated viral epidemics which periodically killed these agricultural communities back to a breeding pair or two. The periodic kill-offs introduced random changes into subsequent populations which got vetted by environment.
So the vector for evolution’s virus transmission became male homosexual sex.
At this point it’s easy for woke culture to argue that this means homosexuality is inborn and inherited. Well that would be correct except, who said that everyone doesn’t have these genes? It’s only the people who’s egos won’t allow them to admit that their young experiments were wrong.
Place today’s human form against any of the other primate forms. Lesser primates have undergone virtually no evolutionary changes in 3.5 million years while humans have changed dramatically. The reasons are DPPIV, zonulin and viral epidemics.
