First make it illegal, but on principle she’s right. The medical establishment is corrupt and rotten and failing to protect the mentally ill. The ACLU is probably to blame for actions undertaking decades ago.
The medical establishment is failing to protect the mentally ill with ‘the states’ enthusiastic concurrence.
This goes back to the closing of asylums and rise of ‘main streaming’ the mentally and the use of community mental health centers. These seemingly moral ideas quickly devolve to where the mentally ill are basically on their own. Its particularly a problem when the patients reach adulthood. When that happens there is in many cases no way of enforcing medication and treatment. Also, since there’s no real control or standards quackery in this field abounds!
The state particularly loves passing all this onto ‘the community’ because it saves them money to waste on other things. The state can look ‘caring’ by shoveling taxpayer money to quacks & charlatans. It’s still cheaper in “the state’s” eyes then paying for institutions.
