Not everybody realizes just how important the coveted "blue checkmark" is on Twitter among those who consider themselves elite and above the rest of us. They literally look down upon those without the checkmarks as the dirty unwashed.

Elon Musk is now offering up that checkmark for $8/mo and this enrages this crowd to no end.

Now some Joe six-pack from Boaz, Alabama, with a Trump bumper sticker on his Ford F-150, who works as a shift manager at the local Piggly Wiggly, can get one of these blue checkmarks for the cost of a bacon and egg breakfast at the Waffle House.

The Twitter blue checkmark is no longer an indicator of being among the "beautiful people" and boy are they pissed.

I’m certain any and all Twatter employees engaging in this activity claimed these payments on their income taxes.

Perhaps we do need some additional IRS agents?

I’m hoping to get my twitter account back after being banned permanently last month. Pretty clear I was suspended on purpose, maybe even at direction of FBI, who I ratted on.

Your comments describe the narcissism and smallness of these people perfectly.

“Yup. Know in some states as commercial bribery.”

This may interest some of the state Attorney Generals.

“A friend of mine experience, the exact same thing”

Do you think your friend may take this to court? or contact the state AG?

1. Class action.

2. DOJ invesetigation.

3. Criminal action - bribery, for sure they paid no federal taxes on this money.

IF you have a friend that paid for this, he should file a ‘whistleblower action’ in federal court and he can get a cut of all the $$$ in penalties and fines that result.

“ What kind of fool do you have to be to pay $15,000 for some crooked employee to give you a blue checkmark?”

The kind that wants a lot of followers, and to have their voice amplified.

The Twitter algorithm elevates people with the blue check marks in everyone’s feed. Without it, you get lost in the crowd. That makes it very valuable if you want to inflate your influence.
