You don’t get it. You know who decides elections these days? Suburban women. And they hate this kind of stuff. So it sounds great and is funny when the guys are hanging out in the bar, but in the real world it loses votes.

True enough, but apparently it's okay if it loses votes because we deserve it if we lose in 2024.

One of my favorite bumper stickers from the Obama era was "NObama - because I've already got a Messiah."

That kind of hero-worship apparently goes both ways.

You are ascribing a negative term, “hero-wirship”, to what can also be described as a methodical, reasoned, practical, strategic decision to support a candidate based on analyzed history, facts, opposing choices, etc. Sounds like a put-down and a lazy conclusion. Chin up!
