Saudis don’t eat their own dogfood?

Are the Saudis sitting on vast lithium, cobalt, and copper reserves?

Saudi Arabia makes its electricity from petrochemicals. What’s the sense in making an electric vehicle?
What happens when you run out of juice while traveling in the empty quarter? Just dry up and blow away?

No doubt the AWD system has a Sand Mode.
To: ProtectOurFreedom
They own a lot of silicon dioxide. They should use it for frac sand.

Well, they do have a lot of open desert to establish solar and wind farms.
Point: Let them spend their money and effort trying to make it work. Leave me out.

Talk about VIRTUE SIGNALLING, the UAE only uses fossil fuels to make commercial electricity.
Which means their electric cars will still be running on gasoline, except it will be significantly less efficient than ICE cars because the petrol gets burned to produce electricity, then the electricity gets transmitted over electrical lines to the power outlets, then plugged into the car and converted into chemical energy, which waits for the owner to convert it into electrical energy with the accelerator pedal.
So there are at least two unnecessary conversion in the process, plus resistance losses over the power lines.
All so they can say their cars are “zero emissions.” Which is a lie from jump street, regardless where it’s spoken.

Beautiful. Low profile & nice drag coefficient. Maybe I send my resume.
Bet they pay well.👍

I think the logo is BMW. The grill sure looks like it. It may be a Show Car.
Also I believe the article mentions a partnership with BMW.

Saudi Arabia’s Ceer is a joint venture between the country’s wealthy Investment Fund and Foxconn. The Taiwanese entity will make sure manufacturing goes smoothly, while BMW will supply the blueprints for car parts needed for sedans and SUVs.
Will Use Licensed BMW Components
