The thing is that at least the English language version of RT is closer to an aggregator of news, rather than a source. They do a few things, like actually report on what is going on in Russia, particularly what the government there is saying, as opposed to what the Neocons on CNN are saying about the Russians. They’re also quite good at aggregating stories showing the PURE IDIOCY of the West, whether it’s Lea Thomas, or the UK blowing up more coal power plants.
They also try to report in an unbiased way, so instead of saying “Trump’s false claims of election fraud”, as the Neocon-controlled news outlets like CNN say, they’ll simply say “Trump’s claims of election fraud”...and let the reader decide if they’re false. And they include both sides - if the West disputes something that Russia says, they’ll include the Western reply.
To put it another way, RT is MUCH CLOSER to what the Western Media was during the Cold War, while Western Media, today, is much more like the Soviet Union...right down to SILENCING opposing views.
True. And the comments on RT let very critical comments about Russia from the peanut gallery stay up.
