Man Charged With Threatening to Kill Republican Gubernatorial Candidate
A Chicago man has been arrested and charged after authorities say he left threatening voicemails for a Republican gubernatorial candidate.
Scott Lennox, 21, said in one message that he was going “to skin Darren Bailey alive” after killing the candidate’s family, according to a filing from the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office that was obtained by The Epoch Times.
“He better kill himself and if he doesn’t, I am going to kill him,” Lennox said.
Lennox also described Bailey—an Illinois state senator who is running against Democrat Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker—as a racist white person and said he knew where Bailey and his children sleep.
Lennox’s phone number was recorded on the caller id and he admitted to making the calls when officers with the Illinois Secretary of State Police went to his home, according to the filing. However, police declined to arrest him or transport him for further questioning.
Illinois State Police were made aware of the threat and their investigation led to Lennox’s arrest.
Lennox was charged with threatening a public official and two counts of harassment, all felonies. He faces up to 11 years in prison if convicted.
So it looks like Chicago police did nothing but State police did.

The Democrats have to be pretty desperate — they called in Barack Obama to help out Whitmer, and even he got heckled by two people in the audience, so you know things aren’t looking good for Whitmer.
On top of that, you have a candidate in Dixon who isn’t afraid to take it to the Democrats hard on the issues and have some fun in the process. Like Kari Lake, this candidate has some talent. On Thursday, she let Barack Obama, Whitmer, and Biden all have it for their failures
“They must be having a little bit of trouble with their base because they had Barack Obama come in,” Dixon teased. She poked fun at how Obama tried to dispute that crime was up under Biden and Whitmer, noting it was up seven years ago. Did he calculate who was president seven years ago, she laughed, it wasn’t President Donald Trump. He must have taken math in Michigan”, she said.
She was hilariously mocking the Democratic candidates running away from Joe Biden. One of the people who did have Biden come was Whitmer who was “ridin’ with Biden.” “Get me off that train!” Dixon laughed. Whitmer and Biden were holding hands at the auto show, she said. “Was she holding him up?” Dixon asked. She noted how the media seemed to swoon over that, calling Biden, “America’s grandfather.” Dixon noted the media wouldn’t have that kind of a take if she was holding hands with President Donald Trump.
RealClearPolitics has Whitmer up by an average of 4.5 points, but the last poll the AmGreatness/InsiderAdvantage now has it as a tie. RCP’s adjusted poll number is Whitmer +0.8. RCP is predicting that it’s going to be a GOP pick-up.
When you see Tudor Dixon and Whitmer, it’s easy to see why the GOP is likely to win here.

GOP candidate Pat Harrigan’s sleeping kids nearly struck by bullet blasting through window
Police in North Carolina are investigating a shooting that took place last month at the home of Republican congressional candidate Pat Harrigan’s parents.
Harrigan’s children were sleeping in the home — only a few feet from where a single bullet pierced a window, Harrigan’s campaign manager told the Carolina Journal on Thursday.
A police report obtained by The Post confirmed that a firearm was used in the Oct. 18 incident and that the bullet ripped through a window in the home’s laundry room. No injuries were reported.
The Hickory Police Department is investigating the case.

Even when a Trump supporter ends up winning in court, the Dems have already won overall because of all the fake news disinformation broadcast and written about the case and the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees required from the defendant. This has the effect of intimidating other good people from serving under an America first president like Trump.
We need to have “loser pays” for court cases such as these.
