I get emotional in the eve for some reason.
I'm getting better.
Take care sweetheart. I hope today is a YUGE WIN for AMERICA!
you have every tight to be. I can’t believe Kati Hobbs is counting the votes in Arizona.
I agree, LG!
And knowing that He chose this particular time and place for each of us.
He will give us the strength and grace we need to do what we’re called to do.
Good to hear from you!
Hello Neighbor and TFT FRiends!
I just got off the mountain- going over Kaiser Pass, at 9,196’... as rain and snow pelted the road Sunday night, around 10pm local time. The snow belt was found exactly where it was predicted to fall, above 8,000’ (I estimated that I was at about 8,500’ when I first hit the snowfall.)
I rented a 1 ton dually pickup to tow another truck off the mountain (which eventually started) so instead- I hauled 3 washing machines and an ATV off the mountain in the thankfully cavernous bed.
A major winter storm is inbound. The highest elevations could see up to 6’ of snow.
I’m at the base camp in the foothills above Fresno, CA.
I had my brother send me my ballot and then I sent it back- using 2-day service arriving Monday afternoon. He first took his ballot, then later my ballot, to the Peoria, AZ, City Hall. Our local precinct polling location was eliminated. Thank you, Katie (conflict of interest) Hobbs- current AZ SoS.
I’m headed to AZ, between now and Saturday. I eventually plan to winter in Alpine, AZ. I’ll likely pass-through Pinetop-Lakeside, on my way east, so maybe we can have a meet and greet?
I spent the past summer lurking FR, using a cell phone most of the time. I loathe communicating on said small device, preferring to post on a laptop with a traditional sized keyboard, so here I am now... on election day, back on board the TFT! Woot! Woot! All Aboard!
One caveat: for the second time this year (Doh!) I have left my laptop cord and charger behind in a hotel room, and with my laptop’s power rapidly dwindling, I am going to have to travel about an hour into town to retrieve the damn thing. Grrr.
Cowboy Up! Eagles Up! freepersup!
Thanks!
People have to learn for themselves.
Some are able to learn from information access or from seeing the mistakes of others but most have to experience suffering in order to learn.
Too bad we have to experience their suffering with them.
Glad to be here today!
Thought it would be a good day to take a break and spend commiserating with my Deplora-Peeps!
Prayers will be continuing for your healing and phone search.
Thank you.
REPOSTING THIS AMAZING STAR SPANGLED BANNER!!!!!!!
Thank you, sweetie!
Everyone, this will definitely lift your spirits!

Good to hear from you!
Good to hear from you.
Hope we will have a new Governor elect Kari Lake by the time you get home.
Safe travels and check in when you can.
Hello wise owl, and TFT FRiend! Likewise!
I actually know a family that lives in Altadena, CA... the resort’s new owner (that I work at in the summer) lives there on property that backs up to the San Gabriel NF. They have a view that looks down on the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena. Good luck!
(Posted this on the old thread:)
Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt condolences, djstex.
Such a hard loss…
May God bless all of you.
Much love!
freepersup!
Howdy!
It’s great seeing you here!
It’s good to be back on board the TFT FRiend!
Kudos to all who contribute posts here- shoveling that beautiful anthracite coal into the firebox on a daily basis! Woot! Woot!
(And I hope that you find your phone.)
(What about having someone call your phone at a specific time while you walk around the area of interest?)
AMEN!
He said he wouldn’t give us more that we can handle, and he is always there to help us through our trials.
Right!
(Although I always wish He would show up just a little bit sooner than the time He knows is best!)
😁
In my best "Oprah" voice: Everyone gets a train! You get a train! You get a train! You get a train!
Good to see you too FRiend!
(People- I've got a great big bag of exclamation points, and I am not afraid to use them!)
Howdy FRiend!
It’s good to see one of our chief engineers back on the TFT. We’re going to need help shoveling coal and keeping the train and our new Congress on track.
The worst thing to happen is if we elect them and they give us weak-sauce just looking forward to next election. We need to keep their feet to the fire.
Enjoy your wintering in Alpine when you get there. Looks like a great place to land.
