Is there any other way to eat them? Now, if I could only find a decent place nearby that knows how to make them properly...

(Misplaced New Englanda)

Yah...same heeyah. Missing my fried clams after moving to TN from MA. But you're right. Clam strips? Feh. Gimme the whole dang thing.

BTW...ever had a fresh out of the sea raw scallop? Not one from a seafood vendor. Gotta be warm and salty. They are sooo sweet and tasty. Yum.

Clams without the bellies are no clams at all!

DJ’s Clam Shack in Key West. And their lobster roll is pretty good, too.

Woodman’s restaurant is still there. However its a tourist trap. If you’re in the area go to any number of similar places

I can remember the Friday all you can eat Fried Clam Special at Howard Johnson’s. My parents would drive a long way to find the closest HoJo. You could eat them by the plate full until you were full, or got indigestion from too much fried food.

Um Um Good!
Years ago, our office located a short distance down the highway from Howard Johnson. Every Friday lunch would be
a trip to HoJo’s for their fried clams. Their New England
Clam Chowder wasn’t so bad either. Always New England; never
Manhattan.
