the feds tax your social security if your total income is over a certain amount..what a scam!
South Carolina doesn’t tax SS or the first $15,000 of other pension retirement income. Also, it has very low property taxes.
Oklahoma allegedly does not tax SS and “pension” income. There is a codicil to that though.
They only don’t tax it if you don’t have any.
Oklahoma pretty much sucks. There, I said it. These clowns never saw a tax they don’t like and have mastered every means to piss it away to no good effect.

I swapped to a Roth 401k as soon as I could. There is ZERO chance the government will ever tax me less, ever. Taxes will only go up, up, and up. I will be shocked if the government doesn’t steal my savings by the time I retire, “for the people” anyway.
Georgia doesn’t tax retirement income up to around $65k each. Fannin county Georgia drops school taxes from your real estate taxes once you hit 65.
I don't believe this is correct. According to the 2021 PA-40 instructions, any retirement income from "commonly recognized pension, old age, or retirement benefits paid after becoming eligible to retire, and retiring" are not subject to personal income tax. There is no mention of age.
Starting in 2023 Oklahoma will not tax military retirement.
Biden Inflation is killing the Social Security Trust Fund. What was fiscally sound will soon be going bankrupt.
Once Social Security uses up the Trust fund - EVERYONE TAKES A 20% CUT. The system was designed with this cut in the 1930’s and it is still going to happen automatically.

Social Security is unconstitutional. So are Medicare, Medicaid and Obamacare. I’m hoping the patriots/conservatives on the Supreme Court does away with illegal socialist schemes like that — soon.
