My 31 year old son got a patch on his rib cage. He was so uncomfortable even a shirt touching the patch really hurt him. He visited us and we couldn’t play golf it hurt him so much.

I had one small bout with it when I was in my 30s and it was horrible as you say. It takes forever to fully go away. I got the first vaccine for it, then upgraded to Shingrix when it came out. Thank God for that vaccine.

This is interesting that it can lead to stroke. Whoever would have thought that?

Yeah, that’s certainly news to me, and a little scary to be sure.

when I saw my Dr. to verify what I hoped was not the case but turned out to be he told me shingles attacks a particular nerve group.

In my case it was from the middle of my chest, around under my left arm all the way to my backbone.

That was fall 2019 to February 2020.

Apparently the nerve damage can be permanent......I have places the virus attacked where I still have numbness......and I guess always will.
