IRT #6 and several others. d;^)

"..There seems to be an inordinate amount of exclamation points.."

But besides that lil fun. I agree. In my 20 years of being here I've never seen a more dividing topic. Reminds me of that statement from Croc Dundee.
"It's like two fleas arguing over who owns the dog they're livin on.."

Us peons only know the reality of our AO. The rest of it is wailing and gnashing of teeth over somethin that was read on the bathroom wall of the internet.. I just skip it.. d:^)

Well played, you evil Putin lover.

(Did I get that right?)

No. The correct term is "Putin puffer".

I agree with the entirety of your post. I have observed the same things, and have been part of the problem sometimes.

Always trying to be part of the solution, if I can...:)

Perfect! And one or more of these appears in every DNCMedia story on Trump.

Thanks for the guide!

"...I will say any FReepers lining up on the side of Joe Biden, Victoria Nuland, Klaus Schwab, et al, should do some serious soul searching..."

I could not be more fully in agreement.

I will not make common cause with these people in our country who fall in behind those people, because they are hostile to our values and wish us and our country ill.

I am glad you enjoy my retelling of them-I have been blessed with the ability to live life as fully as I can, and the ability to be stupid and make mistakes as often as is possible!

I often write long posts which people don’t have time to read, but honestly, I am doing it as much for myself, to remember...:)

It’s more about the consolidation of global media companies than who it is.

"...You are not alone..."

It is one of the reasons I find FR so indispensable. I live in a blue state that is a Leftist echo chamber. The government. The media. The citizenry. All of them tell me every day that they are right and I am wrong, and my senses and rationality tell me that I am right and they are wrong.

One of the goals of the Left is to alienate people from each other with the goal of making them turn to the state for salvation. I look to God for salvation, not power-hungry people who would be my masters.

I will never, ever, EVER be convinced that collectivism is the solution to our problems.

So, coming to FR and having reasoned discourse on these things has a lot of value, even if the opportunity to have reasoned discourse waxes and wanes.

Even when it wanes, some of it exists and can be found, and that is why I pay money to be here. It is worth it.

Yet a conservative saying that it was wrong to invade Ukraine and the Russians should be opposed are not actually lining up on the side of Joe Biden, Victoria Nuland, Klaus Schwab, et al. They’re just opposed to Russian aggression.

They’ll be times when something we think is right is something the Left agrees with, or vice versa.

Go back to the cartoon. Saying someone—a conservative—is lined up with the likes of those people is an Ad Hominem attack, or perhaps an Ad Populum fallacy.

There are very few, if any FReepers that support Joe Biden, Victoria Nuland, Klaus Schwab, et al.

No. My observation was that ALL the same people I see who publicly and fully support sending money and troops to Ukraine are the same people who support the Democrat party and other NWO types.

It was not all people who oppose Russia’s invasion. That is a very different thing.

I made my observation on what I see in public around me, not what I see on television (I don’t watch) or read in the media.

I understand you.

But there are conservatives who support sending money and troops (well, not troops, but arms) to Ukraine (to defend themselves) yet do not support the DNC or the NWO. So no, they’re not the “same” people.

On the Ukraine war thread, it is one of the big charges that anyone who supports Ukraine’s freedom are “ lining up on the side of Joe Biden, Victoria Nuland, Klaus Schwab, et al.”

Then there are those who will charge someone who supports stopping Ukraine—American corruption as “lining up with Putin, Mao, Stalin, Adolph, et al.”

Go and look. You’ll see it on almost everyone.

What we have is not just two sides. There are those who oppose the corruption in Ukraine and want the USA to cease supporting it (that is, the corruption, not the country). There are those who oppose the Russian invasion and want that to stop.

I’m not talking about either of those.

It is the people who attack, smear, overexaggerate, either of these two sides.

Can’t say I’ve read any reports in the western media explaining exactly what motivated Putin to invade. Only statements like “Putin started it”. But what was his reasoning? We’ve invaded sovereign nations, so I guess there must be some valid reasons.

But remember our government and media would never lie to us.

The Steele dossier was the real deal.
Trump is a Russian agent.
The covid vaccines are 100% safe and effective.
Global warming is destroying the planet.

That is exactly what I am saying, is that there are not just two sides. It isn't binary, and a short analysis shows far more than one:

And so on. And that is incomplete; just an exercise.

My contention is that I will not side with those who support sending American money or troops to Ukraine even if I support Ukraine's right not to be invaded morally and reject Russia's invasion morally. And one of the main reasons I won't do that (but not the ONLY reason) is because the people clamoring most ardently for financial and military support are generally people who wish our Republic ill.

We’ve invaded sovereign nations, so I guess there must be some valid reasons.

We did present some reasons to the UN for several years. WMD, killing of Kurds with poison gas, invading Kuwait and getting pushed out...

And yet, eliminating Saddam led directly to ISIS. Who would have thought replacing an evil, brutal dictator could lead to something even worse? Without Saddam harshly stifling religious zealots it got much, much worse.

And as it turned out, Saddam kept the notion of WMD to pump up his reputation, but actually didn't have what we thought he did. George Tenet's "Slam dunk" was a dud.

Very often valid reasons turn out to be invalid... Or lead to unintended consequences.

Both the USA and Russia could benefit from that idea.

But remember our government and media would never lie to us.

AND that applies to the Chinese govt and media, Russia's, Ukraine's, nearly every website, Youtube video or podcast nowadays.

The same for Vax vs Antivax. So much information, so little trust in any of it.

We are adrift in a sea of propaganda where NOTHING is the truth and everything is a lie.

It is incredibly disheartening.

Especially when we attack each other over these lies from all sides.

Your lie versus my lie.

Spy versus spy from Mad Magazine. Who side was whose?

Shoot, now I'm getting too deep.

I'm just gonna enjoy Scott Adams' humor!

I hear ya. We’ve always been taught that Russia always lies, but never in my wildest hallucinations did I ever think our own government would become the most dishonest of them all.
