@RishiSunak

Great call with @JustinTrudeau.

As close friends and free market democracies the UK and Canada have a vital role in promoting economic growth and stability, as well as ensuring Ukraine is supported unequivocally.

I think we may be getting close to the end of this “we are going to support Ukraine forever” thing from Europe.

Media: Germany cancels army armaments projects due to inflation and weak euro

By Oops Top Team -October 23, 2022047

The newspaper reported that the federal government was canceling a series of rearmament programs for the German armed forces because of high inflation and the appreciation of the US dollar against the euro Handelsblatt citing unnamed politicians and defense industry representatives.

Inflation and the strong US dollar have made the planned arms purchases more expensive than originally thought, with projects for the Navy and Air Force particularly affected, the newspaper said. A source familiar with the situation claimed:

“WITH MANY PROJECTS RUNNING FOR FIVE TO SEVEN YEARS, INFLATION IN THE DIMENSION CREATES A SERIOUS FINANCIAL PROBLEM.”

According to the newspaper, these are the third series of K130 corvettes, new Eurofighter aircraft in the version for electronic warfare, new frigates and new self-propelled howitzers, which should be ordered to replace the machines delivered to Ukraine.

In addition, orders for fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets will be reduced because Berlin had calculated the purchases at the pre-crisis level of the US dollar against the euro. The strong US dollar makes imports from the US more expensive, affecting plans to purchase the equipment.

An unnamed source in the coalition government told the newspaper that the size of the second batch of Puma infantry fighting vehicles, which it plans to spend 304 million euros on this year, is decreasing by the week.

Meanwhile, representatives of the armaments industry complained that the 100 billion budget was not enough to meet the Bundeswehr’s wishes. According to one of them, 200 billion euros are needed.

political had reported last week that Europe’s Financial Stability Facility, which is designed to help countries replace arms shipped to Ukraine, was unable to handle the flood of refund requests.

Western countries are facing rising energy prices and record inflation due to sanctions against Moscow and a move away from Russian fuels. Against a background of higher fuel prices, particularly for gas, Europe’s industry has largely lost its competitive edge, with implications for other sectors of the economy.

🚨🚨🚨Germany Needs Billions Solve Energy Crisis, Struggles to Sell Bonds

Germany has found reluctance in its potential debt buyers, amid markets racked with uncertainty about interest rates and state spending

According to Reuters, demand was weak at a recent auction of German government bonds on Tuesday, but other auctions have been “very, very, very bad”, said Michael Leister, head of rates strategy at Commerzbank, likening the situation to a “buyers’ strike”

The pessimism appears to have arisen just as Berlin was seeking billions in order to address the ongoing energy and cost of living crisis⚡️⚡️⚡️

Two little puppets sitting on the knees of Karl, or is it George? They take turns I suppose. And wait until they can hob-nob with NZ Jacinda she’s a right one.

They are the chosen ones, although not chosen by voters so much as elites who then manipulate the vote by whatever is required to get their servants into places of power and influence. Canadians generally speaking realize that it is Chrystia Freeland who runs the government, whether they approve of her or not, this is widely perceived. She is popular enough with Liberal voters that it probably helps them to win elections, and if you don’t like JT then you probably don’t like Freeland any better, so it makes no difference to the outcome.

Justin is the public face of a powerful group of people behind the throne. Sound familiar?

Funny how your post and DFWGATOR are like the same image posted a minute apart. Remarkable. Not sure if that is his wife in the photo in the post above yours but are they pretending to be Hindus?

That is what I was thinking too. Competing to give Claus Schwab some oral worship of the gay kind. IMHO.
